The North Osburn Claims are located in the heart of the famed “Silver Valley,” home to some of the most prolific silver mining ventures in history. While the claim group lies within an area of such rich mining history, the properties have seen only modest exploration. The Burke-Prichard transition is a favorable host for silver-bearing base metal ores elsewhere in the district and has much upside potential within the North Osburn Claims area as well. In early 2009, Azteca Gold conducted an extensive drilling program in the region within close proximity to the North Osburn Claims group with early results being claimed up to 20 oz/t silver.

Claim Geology
The claims are located on the rock of Belt Metasedimets, which includes the Revett, Burke and Prichard formations. The Revett formation consists of vitreous pure quartzite beds ranging from one to six feet in thickness. Fine dark laminae are common in some of the quartzite beds. The Burke formation consists of inter-bedded impure to pure quartzite, siliceous argillite and minor amounts of argillite. The most prevalent variety is a greenish-grey quartzite that is generally formed in beds less than six inches thick. The Prichard formation consists of a succession of medium to dark grey quartzose argillite that grade into similar appearing impure quartzite. Pyrite is found concentrated within the darker laminae or along bedding planes or argillitic rocks and irregular frains about one millimeter in size.
