Nov. 19, 2004--Shoshone Silver Mining Company (OTC:SHSH) announced today the addition to its staff of Rene Von Boeck as Senior Exploration Geologist. Mr. Von Boeck brings to the company extensive experience in project management, ore reserve modeling, mine planning and exploration of precious and base metals.
During his career Mr. Von Boeck has successfully served as a senior geologist and exploration manager for several major mining companies in the western U.S. as well as in much of Latin America including Chile, Argentina, Peru, Ecuador, Panama, Costa Rica and the Dominican Republic. In Bolivia he directed the initial exploration program that led to the development of large bulk mining of the San Cristobal property, a major Ag-Zn-Pb deposit.
Among his other accomplishments Mr. Von Boeck was instrumental in auditing the reserves as part of the due diligence process at the Jerritt Canyon and Cripple Creek Mine, leading to the acquisition of the properties by Minorco and Independence mining, respectively.
Mr. Von Boeck is a graduate of the Colorado School of Mines where he received a B. S. degree in Geological Engineering. He is a member of the Geological Society of Nevada and a certified professional geologist with the American Institute of Professional Geologists. Mr. Von Boeck is fluent in Spanish, which will be of great benefit to the company as it advances the exploration of its existing portfolio of mining properties, particularly those located in Mexico, and continues evaluation of new acquisition opportunities.
Shoshone Silver Mining Company is pleased to welcome Mr. Von Boeck to its staff, the first of several planned steps designed to strengthen the Company's management team.
