
April 30, 2007--Shoshone Silver Mining (PINK SHEETS: SHSH) is pleased to announce it has engaged consulting geologist Rene von Boeck to evaluate its North American holdings. Mr. von Boeck has 45 years experience in precious metal exploration, reserve analysis, deposit modeling and mine planning in North and South America. He served as Director of Exploration for Mintec, S.A. in Bolivia, Senior Geologist and Project Exploration Geologist for Latin American Gold in Ecuador, Senior Geologist and Senior Minerals Analyst for Independence Mining in Colorado prior to becoming an independent consultant. Mr. von Boeck has evaluated numerous large (1+ million ounce) precious metal deposits targeted for acquisition in the US, Canada and South America.
Shoshone is examining each of its properties for exploration, development and production potential, both with or without earn-in or joint venture partners, as part of its new business plan designed for maximizing shareholder value. The evaluation process is expected to continue through August, 2007 in parallel with the final phase of refurbishing and reopening Shoshone’s Lakeview Mill.
