Shoshone Silver Expands Uranium Holdings

May 23 , 2007-- Shoshone Silver Mining is pleased to announce the expansion of its California Creek project to a total of 43 claims covering 860 acres. The project is located in Elko County, Nevada adjacent to Kilgore Minerals’ Mountain West Property.

The expansion was undertaken following a 2006 scintillometer survey that found two areas with radioactive anomalies. One area with a scintillation count as high as 250 times the background level was found on as yet unexplored ground. The second area of interest was found at the site of an historic open pit. At this site, uranite and yellow secondary uranium minerals occur in a Teritary bentonitic tuff which is arkosic and carbonaceous near its base, overlying a quartz monzonite. Limited production occurred at the site in 1960.

Potential uranium resources have not yet been quantified. Shoshone plans further exploration and development of the property, potentially as a joint venture.
